Exclusive Video Interview: Robert Meyer Burnett on Superman Returns and Free Enterprise

Tuesday March 7th marks the release of Free Enterprise the Extended Edition 2-Disc Set. Free Enterprise tells the story of Robert Meyer Burnett, Mark Altman and their group of friends. If those names ring a bell, well they should.

Robert co-produced the Cody Banks films and he has produced the DVD's for Apt Pupil, X Men 1.5, X-2, Narnia and is currently working on the Superman Returns DVD.

Mark is the co-publisher of Cinefantastique and Femme Fatales magazine and has produced movies under the Mindfire label (which he happens to be the CEO) including the House of the Dead films and currently producing the film DOA.

It stars Eric McCormack (pre Will & Grace) and Rafer Weigel as Bob and Mark, major Sci Fi geeks particularly Star Trek, who meet their life long idol, William Shatner in a bookstore.

We were invited to the Ludovico Technique office to chat with Bob about projects that they are currently working on including a possible big screen adaptation of their comic book Living In Infamy. Any official announcement regarding Infamy should be coming soon. Also, the Free Enterprise 2 script is near completion and they expect to have it to Bill Shatner within a week. Schedules permitting, FE2 should be in production sometime this summer.

Of course, no interview with Burnett would be complete without asking about his work and his thoughts on Superman Returns and working with Bryan Singer (part 5). He is also looking forward to reuniting with Singer for Logan's Run.
