Hotdog magazine has just released an article which states that Peter Mayhew not only signed on for Episode III but also for Episodes 7, 8 and 9. I know...I know Lucasfilm has said that they have no plans for any other movies after Episode III or have they? George Lucas, during the ILM tribute last year, said Star Wars will live in another medium (you can listen to George in our Star Wars Archive talking about the future of Star Wars click here). Well what could that medium be? George may not be a great director but he is a great business man. I really doubt that George will let the cash cow that Star Wars is idle down. Rumblings from The Ranch have been leaking out for a while and from what I get there will be a TV series. First an animated series and second a live action series where we will see the aftermath of the Empire in a loosely based Timothy Zahn style story line. I believe that Peter may have signed on for a TV gig but not for a new trilogy set on the big screen. Only time will tell and I won't be disappointed if I am wrong. I can handle a new trilogy on the BIG screen!!
