William Shatner was one of the presenters at the VH-1 Big in 04 award show that was filmed a few days ago and will air later next week. We had the chance to talk to Mr. Shatner and ask him about him returning to Star Trek and more specificly to Enterprise.

He did acknowledge that there has been talk about him returning but because of some hesitation from the Paramount people his return will most likely not happen this season. If Enterprise gets renewed Kirks return is more plausible to happen next season.

With the ratings struggle that Enterprise has been having all year long it appears that Paramount dropped the ball by not having Shatner appear to boost it's rating during this time of need.

A Paramount rep told us today that they believe that there is still a chance to have Bill Shatner return as Kirk in this season but possibly as a season ending cliffhanger.
