Disney/Pixar's Animated Classic Available For the First Time in Blu-ray High Definition on 2-Disc Disney Blu-ray Hi Def + DisneyFile Digital Copy November 10, 2009!

James P. Sullivan - "Sulley"- (voiced by John Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) work for Monsters Inc., the utility company that generates energy from the fright of children. Sulley, the No. 1 scream-generator at the plant accidentally lets in a little girl into their world. Returning her home safely and undetected proves to be a monstrous challenge!

With the Blu-Ray release on November 10, you will get one of the best transfers to the medium ever completed.

Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite Disney films and I remember seeing it in theaters. I also remember being in awe of the blue fur (with purple spots) on Sulley and how realistic it looked, at that time the incredible movement of his fur was groundbreaking. The Blu-Ray transfer of this effect does not disappoint and I believe it may look even better than I remember it on the big screen that first time.

Following a well given introduction by director Peter Docter, viewers are treated to a handful of bonus features on the BD-Live-enabled first disc. A big treat is the Filmmakers Round Table that reunites director Peter Docter, co-director Lee Unkrich, producer Darla Anderson and story supervisor Bob Peterson. Well worth the watch at 22 minutes long, the group talks about the film and shares some funny stories they remember from making it.

Next up is "Monsters, Inc. Ride and Go See: Building Monstropolis in Japan." This feature takes us behind the scenes of the Monsters attraction at Tokyo Disneyland and has interviews with artists and engineers.

Two Pixar shorts follow, "For the Birds" that was released theatrically with the film and the Academy Award nominated short film "Mike's New Car" along with an audio commentary.

Another new feature on this release is Roz's 100 Door Challenge. An interactive game, players must deal with whatever is behind each new door be it a puzzle, a trivia question or a mini-game.
