Studios are turning to 3D for anything imaginable in the near-future. I mean, Avatar is the biggest movie of all-time now. Many pin-point its massive success and appeal to the general public to the technology/gimmick. AKA "It looked purdy!"

So here comes another franchise headed to the third-dimension. IESB has received word that Lionsgate’s Conan the Barbarian reboot is in headed to 3D. The studio has already sent out offers to multiple effects-houses for the job. No word on who will ultimately land the gig. With production set to begin soon, it shouldn’t be too long.

So we’re getting a "barbarian tits & ass" epic (as my buddy Phil Gee puts it) with good old fashion sword-swinging, violence, gore, etc. in 3D? God. Yes! And this is coming from someone who hates 3D!
