| Iron Man Set Report with Video | ||||

Hey Guys! I read the other Iron Man set reports you put up on your site so I figured it would make sense to send this to you, plus I love the site. Hopefully you can use it? My boyfriend and I were at the 24 Hour Fitness in ********* and saw that a whole section of ***** Blvd. had been totally shut down. There were a bunch of trucks and lights and plenty of security and police everywhere so we figured something major was going on. So we walked over and started chatting it up with one of the cops and some of the security guys. It helps to be a girl in these situations! I did my best to get them to spill the beans on what they were shooting. My boyfriend is a big Iron Man fan and freaked when they said that it was Iron Man shooting! He's a huge comic book fan and I just love Robert Downey Jr.! But unfortunately, from what the guards said, thereâs only second unit stuff being shot so no RD Jr. or any other stars but they told us that they were filming the final battle scene between Iron Man and the villain, which I swear I heard someone mumble the name âIron Mongerâ (pretty sure and bf said that would be him). How cool is that! Me being me, I had asked how they could film the final battle scene if none of the actors are there. They responded, almost in unison, that the entire if not the whole final battle scene will be CGI. Click on the image below for a larger verson
They said the scene being shot involved Iron Man and Iron Monger breaking though a freeway retaining wall and into oncoming traffic on the freeway. There was a camera on a track above the traffic that goes across the freeway that shoots where the guys will bust through the wall. It would make sense if you have two villains flying through freeway traffic and walls that the final battle scene would be with Iron Monger and not The Mandarin, since The Mandarin wouldn't be CGI. Or at least, that's what my boyfriend keeps telling me. The security guy said that earlier they had shot a scene of the freeway retaining wall actually blowing up! We tried to sneak a peek but the security guys âadvisedâ us to stay back. So we hurried home to my apartment across the street, I thought we might be able to see what was going on from there. We had a pretty good view from my balcony. I felt like singing the Mission Impossible theme at this point! So I busted out my Sony handy cam and gave my bf the digital camera and shot what we saw from the comfort and safety of my balcony, my bf was way over excited! I am sending you the video file plus images, hopefully you can use them. I know there isnât any Iron Man or bad guy footage, but itâs still pretty cool. It was quiet this afternoon, but weâll check it out again tonight to see if anything else is going on and Iâll let you know! If you post this, call me âJolieâ thanks!
