Exclusive Video Interview: Chiklis on The Shield and Fantastic Four 2
Author: Robert Sanchez

Back in 2002 we were introduced to Detective Vic Mackey played by Michael Chiklis on FX Channel's new cop TV show. This wasn't your ordinary cop show. It was raw, it was fresh and most importantly action packed.

We are now in 2006 and we are getting ready for season 5 of this critically acclaimed FX channel flagship. What can we expect? Last season we had super actor Glenn Close and this year we have award winning actor Forest Whitaker.

How many TV series could brag about being able to pull "Big Movie" actors for a full season of their show? Not many but part of the success of this show is in no doubt the fabulous writing and kick ass performances that this cast puts out every week.

Michael Chiklis chatted with the IESB and gave his thoughts on what we can expect on the next season of The Shield.

Never forgetting my fan boy roots we also made sure to ask about the upcoming sequel to Fantastic Four. He mentioned that "they are getting ready to do it" and that the writers are half way through the script.

When asked where he sees his character headed he mentioned that he believes that they will stay true to comics and that we will shades of what have appeared in the comics. He also believes that it will be better because they don't have to worry about establishing the characters and that they could get to "the fun" much quicker.

When asked if we are going to see them battle the Puppet master he smiled and said that he is sworn to secrecy and couldn't say a thing.
