Or Do You?
While I completely and totally understand the reason this show has the legions of fans that it does I just cannot get behind this one.
Sure it’s got all the snazzy medical drama stuff going on and it’s certainly full of steamy sex and vile cunning which is the base for any good TV soup but too much of it seems so superficially done that it feels far too contrived for its own good.
Now that’s not to say I don’t enjoy the show, no it’s got it’s bright spots it just never seems to hook me where I cannot wait to see what happens next. It’s just a bunch of stuff happening and it left me feeling disinterested far too quickly in the whole “shock value” storylines.
While pouring through this first part of season five I think I finally pinpointed the problem though; every guest or supporting character is far more interesting than these guys. I found myself wishing I could see what someone else was doing more (yes! Of course including the lesbian ex-wife) and that doesn’t bode well for a long running series.
Like I was saying earlier though I totally understand why people are so hooked on this show, not every show can be everyone’s cup o tea and this show does have a lot to help captivate people who are fans of this type of show. Hey some people loved Barney Miller some loved Hill Street Blues, way of the world people. Buy It Now: Rating:
