Reading about the show over the years it's been a bittersweet ride it seems; always on the bubble for being cancelled and fighting between the network and the shows creator. Adding to all that was the writers strike interrupting what would have been the end of the ride, which if the word on the street is correct means the final episodes will now be aired on ABC and not NBC. It’s enough to make you wonder how in the heck this show manages to work at all let alone be as fun as it is.
That was a mouth full right? Sorry about that just giving some back story for this season even if you didn’t need or ask for it. You are welcome.
Like any episode of Scrubs it’s a mixture of silly, serious, and medical procedural. While the show can be watched as a stand alone it does help to know the characters well to catch all the little inside jokes. Basically you could catch any episode in any given season and not feel the least bit lost which is how a sitcom should play out.
Even though this season was cut short they had some of their best (albeit more dramatic) episodes and ended the run with a silly little fantasy tale that could make even a cold hardened cynic shed a tear. I’m curious to see what they have left and where it’ll all end up but I have to admit it’s a good time to bring it all to a close while it’s still enjoyable.
