Remember that show with the quirky lawyer with the over active imagination? Ally something or other…oh you know the one.
Eli Stone is something akin to that, but meant for guys? Well maybe for guys I think the jury is still out on that one. At any rate Eli doesn’t have an active imagination but he might be a prophet or he might have a really nasty brain aneurysm, either way he gets lots of visits from George Michael and loads of other just as bizarre things….which of course only he can see.
While I enjoy Eli Stone (I loathed Ally whatever her name was) it’s got two things going against it; 1) a new series takes time to find it’s voice and 2) It’s tries too hard to be goofy and whimsical (which gets annoying at times.
Not sure where my feelings on this show will be next time around, I do enjoy Jonny Millers work so I’ll give it a shot but I wonder if I might start praying to see him in something else. Buy It Now: Rating:
