Intimate and moving additional scenes Version: Blu-Ray Store Exclusives: N/A Review: I feel like I just watched a Shyamalan movie with no twist.
Neil Jordan has never made anything so pedestrian. Perhaps I missed something, but Jodie Foster's change from quiet hippie type to wincing victim and then to criminally vigilante was horribly done. One minute you feel sorry for her, the next you're wondering if you've fallen asleep and missed the transformation.
Interesting parallels between the love scenes & similar, uh, positions in the hospital; other than that, couldn't tell why one of the more controversial filmmakers of our time seems to have fallen asleep at the wheel and made a vigilante movie that blends with all the rest despite a stellar cast.
More Nicky Katt snark might have helped - at least a laugh or two might have given this movie some redemption.
Bottom line - skip it unless you feel like you need some empowerment, Jodie Foster style (we recommend the Hamster Style much more). Buy It Now: Rating:
