Storyboard to Film Comparison
Theatrical Trailer Version: Standard Store Exclusives: None, but I'm hoping to add a drinking game for this one soon. Review: How many news stories have we seen about people waking up during surgery? Quite a few for me so it's not shocking to se a movie who's plot hinges on this horrifying event. What is shocking is that instead of just focusing on the horror of it they added a lame as could be plot twist to it. It's not bad enough that this happens that they needed to add a level of intrigue and murder happy plot twists? Oh jeez.
If Hayden is looking to break out of his Anakin Skywalker role this is not a good way to go about it, everyone in this movie is so flat and uninteresting that you start to wonder if you might actually be in surgery and instead of working on you the doctors are watching a bad movie. HELP!!!
No offence to anyone else in the cast but HOW IN THE HELL DID THEY ROPE Terrence Howard into this thing? He seems to pick better roles than Awake provides. Extortion? Dump Truck full of cash? 40 Virgins? Whatever it is I hope it was worth it. Not that his career is hurting or anything.
Anyway as the movie plods along you will be assaulted by just how stupid this thing is, by the time you reach the end you'll hope for some sort of zombie invasion or at least a cameo by Patrick Swayze or something.
Cleary the people behind this were hoping for some M. Night Shyamalan magic to pull this thing off but it's amazing how far off the mark they went.
If you are going to watch it, you may want to wait until we have the drinking game up first...you've been warned. Buy It Now: Rating:
