Review: After going through three or so titles and no theatrical release that I know of Wedding Daze is hitting DVD. While the idea of so many name changes and a direct to DVD release is pretty much poison when it comes to view confidence I have to say this one is fairly decent.
Written and directed by funnyman Michael Ian Black the movie shows some of is comedic sensibilities for silly far fetched set ups. This one using a plot of random strangers getting married holds up better than you'd think actually.
When Anderson's (Jason Biggs) fiencee kicks the bucket his life just goes straight into the crapper. Months later we find him just falling apart and convinced he'll never find love again. Enter: Katie (Isla Fisher) whos a girl on the brink of marrying the biggest douche bag in town. It’s really not much of a stretch to image how she'd accept Anderson random proposal of marriage.
Now that we've got the basic set up the movie just hits its wacky stride to wedded bliss with prison breaks, grand theft auto, gypsies, and other assorted tomfoolery.
Overall: A cute little rom-com with some fun. Rating:
