Stars Announced as One of Ten Finalists for Seventh Annual Shortlist Music Prize, Band Confirmed to Perform at Coachella Festival Friday, April 25th

New York, NY ? Stars has been announced as one of ten finalists for the seventh annual prestigious Shortlist Music Prize alongside Arcade Fire, Burial Feist, Justice, LCD Soundsystem, M.I.A., Spoon, Wilco and Working for a Nuclear Free City.  Their critically acclaimed new album In Our Bedroom After the War was chosen from the initial Long List of 54 nominated albums, and is out now on Arts & Crafts.  Previous recipients of the Shortlist Music Prize include TV on the Radio, Sigur Ros, Cat Power, and Sufjan Stevens and this years winners will be announced in February.
 
Stars has also been confirmed to perform on Friday April, 25 at this year?s internationally known Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, CA.  Among the artists scheduled to perform over the three day music festival are Portishead, My Morning Jacket, M.I.A., the Raconteurs, and Death Cab for Cutie.  This performance takes place during the band?s upcoming headlining tour of the US, which is kicking off on the East Coast on March 19th in Baltimore, MD.
