The Birthday Massacre played in Downtown Disney at the House Of Blues Anaheim California, Sunday September 23.
There was a massacre at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA as The Birthday Massacre played to an all ages audience. With their blend of gothic, rock and electronic music everyone was set for a good time. First, The Start opened up playing songs off their new album from Metropolis Records, Ciao Baby. Towards the end of their set Aimee Echo, lead singer of the band, dedicated Cities In Dust to Siouxsie of Siouxsie and the Banshees for it was Siouxsie?s birthday. Putting their own unique sound to the song really gave it a nice touch. Siouxsie would have been very pleased if she was there. Let the massacre begin birthday boys and girls!!! The crowd went agro as Chibi, lead singer of the band, came out sporting some Mickey gloves and started singing Video Kid. The band had so much energy you?d think you were at KMFDM show. They played a nice one hour set with songs from Nothing and Nowhere, like Video Kid and Happy Birthday, and songs from their current release Walking With Strangers. The IESB also got a chance to ask Rainbow, guitarist of The Birthday Massacre, a few questions about the tour and what it was like working with the legendary Dave "Rave" Ogilvie who co-produced Walking With Strangers. I also got to take pics from the show as well! [Video interview coming soon!] The Birthday Massacre are currently still touring with some remaining dates in the US and from there it?s overseas with dates in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Check out details on their website www.thebirthdaymassacre.com or check out the label Metropolis Records for more info.
