It finally happened, Napalm Death released there most hardcore, in your face album since the early nineties! Their Lyrics Scream with the intensity of how organized religion has taken over and screwed up our world.
 

I definitely have enjoyed playing my ears to death with this killer set of sixteen non-stop brain damaging Tracks! Smear Campaign is the thirteenth, full length release album, since their premier debut album "Scum". A lot of experimenting went along in this CD, including Beautiful Female voices, Keyboards, and acoustic guitars. Even though none of the members are originals, they still convince that this album is every bit of Grindcore, and in my opinion, the best I have heard in years.

Barney (lead singer) and Mitch Harris (Guitar) really put a lot of passion into their lyrics as they sing together with perfect harmony.

The main songs that stick out in my mind from this album would be "Puritanical Punishment Beating", "When All Is Said And Done", and "Rabid Wolves for Christ". PPB sets at an extremely fast pace, with very blunt lyrics (my same reasoning for loving "Rabid Wolves")."When All is Said and Done" is a lot slower paced, and separates it from some of the other fast paced tracks. Danny Herrera proves he is just as talented with his blast beats and drum fills, and Shane Embury Blows away our ears with his hot blooded, double Bass Work.

In all, this record fucking rocks! Smear Campaign is exactly what this genre of music has been waiting for this year! It's hard NOT to listen to every track, they all kick ass and throw all the political and anti religious Words directly into your tympanic membranes. I think that if you are a fan of crazy Death Metal and Punk fused together, you will for sure LOVE this unorthodox, extraordinary masterpiece from Napalm Death.
